New Events as South Bay School of Cooking

New things are happening at the school. We’re broadening our horizons with fun foodie events. As a member of the Culinary Historians of LA, Pacific Food & Beverage Museum, Museum of the American Cocktail, and Women Who Whisky, we will be hosting all kinds of food and drink experiences in the future. If you’re looking for an event other than a cooking class but still want a unique foodie event we are bringing it to you!

‘Pop Up’ Restaurant: Grilled Cheese Night

Saturday April 22, 6:30 PM

April is “National Grilled Cheese Month” and what better way to celebrate than with a gourmet sampling of the venerable sandwich. You’ll be tasting a variety of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches at this evening of fun and deliciousness. Taste, share wine and mingle in this fun social event. Adults only so bring your own wine. Some of our offerings will be: A demitasse cup of roasted red pepper and tomato soup with a sharp cheddar cheese dunker. The French onion– caramelized shallots over melted Gruyere cheese with a demi-glace drizzle. Spanish Manchego with garlic roasted peppers, briny capers, and sweet pickled grapes. Smoked salmon with goat cheese, red onions and capers on pumpernickel. Dessert will be a small Scandinavian waffle with Kvarg sweet cheese and lingonberries.
